oh HI!
I hope all is well in your world. Thank you so much for being here, as ever. So, it was very fun to nerd out on fig leaves over on the newsletter this week.
Unsurprisingly I got a bit carried away when it came to sharing recipes, so instead of sending them to your email and totally overwhelming your inbox (I thought 4 emails might be a bit OTT), so I’m sharing links to the all KP+ recipes for this week.
You can find the base syrups and oil recipe in the main Sunday newsletter, but all the specific recipes have been uploaded as individual posts so you can access them more easily in the future:
Fig Leaf Roll cake with Fig Leaf Whipped Cream is such a fun way to enjoy this flavour. This fluffy cake x light cream combination is so aromatic, I hope you’ll love it as much as I do.
Fig Leaf Milk Jam is a totally outrageous spread inspired by Kaya, the coconut jam. It’s SO fun to eat and I cant actually begin to describe how good it is when eaten kaya toast style - spread on toasted white bread with a thick slice of butter. *faints*
Fig Leaf Ice Cream by Marie Havnø Frank. Fig Leaf ice cream is an absolute belter, so I wanted to make sure you guys had a recipe by someone who would do it justice!
Oh, and this isn’t a new recipe this week but I adore this peach and fig leaf ice tea from a few summers ago, it’s probably one of my faves on KP+.
I hope you have SO much fun diving into this flavour. Let me know how you love to use fig leaf, too. I’m endlessly fascinated and can’t stop falling in love with this flavour, so let me know what you choose to do.
Love,
Nicola
