I love a pear! I'm currently enjoying Melissa Thompson's pears poached in sorrel.
I lost my sense of taste with covid in July - it's almost back to normal now, but the first 3 weeks I only had salt, sweet and not-taste sensations like heat from chilli and pepper or cool from toothpaste. Totally bizarre.

This is perfect timing as I was trying to decide what to do with several nice pairs that are quite ready for eating.
