Aside from porridge loaf, I'd also recommend these banana everything cookies!

I like to add oatmeal to chocolate chip cookie dough.

Hear me out - dog biscuits...I have a great recipe that uses pumpkin and peanut butter as well as oats and wholemeal flour. My dog approves.

Before Puff bakery course came into my life, I was obsessed with making Swedish Chocolate Balls (Chokladbollar). Super easy and satisfying.

It might sound obvious but there's a delicious river cottage recipe for flapjacks with orange zest and juice in which I find delicious! Or for something savoury (if a bit camping food esque) spinach and oat fritters can be nice with LOTS of salt and pepper

Last night my sister and I were discussing business ideas and she told me about Biscuiteers, which I’d never heard of but what a great idea and funny to wake up to a post about biscuits. I’ve been massively into Waitrose’s chewy and fruity flapjack all butter cookies recently - there’s a nice kick of salt. Hoping you’re not moving too far from the North London area and are contemplating a biscuit delivery service :)

Hi Nicola, these sound fab! Can’t offer much tips on the oats...maybe a cheeky Anzac biscuit? You can never have to many biscuits! I do have a wee question though, being a Brit living in Sweden, malt vinegar is tricky to find, they are not onboard with vinegar on chips here yet! Could I sub with some cider vinegar or better just to skip it?

I always make it with leftover egg whites.

Love me some crunchy Granola!

Fave mix-ins, Pecans, cashew, pistachio, almonds and coconut + coconut oil+ maple syrup a good mix of assorted seeds; sunflower, sesame, linseeds. After it has baked chopped up apricots

Heya, thanks for another great recipe. When I have a lot of oats I make Granola. Great to give away and also great to have for dinner when you can't be bothered to make anything else but want something gorge.

p.s can you put Ice-cream on your kitchen projects to-do list. I'm keen to try an idea for a fancy dinner in the summer.

I’ve made Sohla’s (formerly of BA) wholemeal digestives with toasted oats instead of wheat germ. The biscuits are more buttery and less sweet than the OG digestives, and all the better for it!

Adults and children love these and not just at 3 o’clock. Thank you Nicola 👍

I made these today and they are delicious! However, maybe because my kitchen is so hot or maybe because my oats were too chunky, I quickly gave up in frustration on the roll-and-cut method (I managed a tray's worth of the cookies that way). Instead I went with the ball-and-smash method, which does not make a pretty cookie but it does work. I'm excited to have these around all week, if they last that long.

hi Nicola, any alternative for malt vinegar? there's no such vinegar in Portugal. :/

I make banana pancakes! They're healthy and so yum. I blend oats to get oat flour and some almonds for almond flour, mash bananas. Then mix 1/4c almond flour + 1/4c oat flour + 1 tsp cinnamon + pinch of salt. Mix. To this add 1/2c mashed banana + 1 egg + a tbsp or so of milk/nut milk if needed. Mix well. Cook. :D
