It's a shame you partnered with ballymaloe. Maybe you just didn't know. They turned a blind eye to child pornograohy, unapologetically. They shouldn't be operating today. They have a convicted sex offender, Darinas husband, still working there. They shouldn't be in business, they shouldn't be celebrated. They should be out of public view, for shame. All information is available, please. Don't skin over the truth. Children deserve better than this.

Hey Nik, thanks for writing this comment and bringing to my attention. I did not know this. I really appreciate you telling me and I will look further into this and think about how to proceed. I was taking the recipes, story and book at face value. Happy to discuss further, nicola xxxx

I know you were as many do. But it's a crying shame what's happened withh this family and its unbelievably unethical that they've continued to profit from public life. Its maddening and sickening. Appreciate your awknoledgement and not deleting my comment. I think everybody should be awake and make Their own decisions from there. But to be in the dark about it when your own reputation is hard earned. It's not fair.

So many people don't know about this! It always surprises me that it isn't better known.

It should be! Something involving young children shouldn’t be brushed under the carpet in my opinion. I saw it was in 2003 and was ready to say to myself - okay well you cant tarnish them forever, let the business try to move on etc. But then on his instagram he still looks to be very much involved? I wont purchase the book if this is the case. A shame too as I follow a few of their pastry team on instagram and always loved seeing the posts.

Everyone I know who has been to the cooking school comes back with insane skills. I wish I could support it!

Yes i’m very sad. My partner and I are from the North, and we were planning on doing a drive down the west coast next year and I literally said to my partner this morning, I’d love to do the cooking school there one day. What a shame, glad I was made aware of this.

I just finished reading this and the post on KP+ and was really inspired and excited to buy the book. I didn’t know of this scandal and just did some reading on Google. Really really sad.
