Happy to have discovered Susanality! Her NYT Christmas cookie selection is a constant delight. And the American scone (definitely doesn’t rhyme with zone for me) has always been a mystery so enjoying this edition
I’ve made Susan’s scones a few times……I usually flash freeze most of them for breakfast treats when we want them. Delicious recipe! Now I have to try it with our local blueberries!
I’ve made American scones so many times, but this recipe turned out a bit too wet for me to cut before baking. Anyone making them may wish to dial back the liquid mixture a bit. That said, still very delicious and I can’t wait to try again.
