Just wanted to clarify Alinea was in Chicago (state of Illinois) and not in Michigan. I wish I could have dined at this restaurant for the experience.

Good catch! Not sure how that error happened except that I'm not always great with geography. Just heard from someone they got tonka beans in NYC, so it's definitely possible!
I love the combination of tonka and maple sirup, tastes like a warm, cozy wool blanket.

I expect it depends where you are! I order from Epices de Cru in Montreal or get the Almondena ones from Flavourfull.ca
