When I think about Christmas, it’s not mince pies that gets me excited. It’s florentines. You know, the golden discs of nuts, fruit and chocolate that either snap or bend, depending on which are your favourites. Sure you could eat them anytime of the year, but is there a better time to enjoy something so gorgeously decadent? Whether you like them crispy or chewy (and you can get my classic recipe here - one of my first newsletters ever!), I wondered if there were any recipes that I could infuse with florentine energy.
