I have a Japanese quince bush in my garden absolutely laden with fruits. Can I use Japanese quince in the same way as a standard quince?
I've made jam with chaenomeles and wouldn't bother again - nice colour and a really good set, but they have very little flesh to core and nothing like the fragrance of a quince.
Please can you stick a pear bar in the freezer for me? Stunning.
